SecondAct SG (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit secondactsg.com and use our services, in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
1. Who We Are
SecondAct SG is an independent life design and coaching platform based in Singapore, serving clients globally. We help mid-career professionals design a life that feels intentional — through coaching, curated resources, AI-powered tools, and downloadable planning materials. We are operated by Jael Kong.

2. What Personal Data We Collect
We may collect the following types of personal data:
- Name and email address — when you sign up for our newsletter or download a resource
- Contact details — when you fill in our contact form or book a discovery call
- Coaching session notes — when you engage in 1-on-1 coaching with us (held securely and confidentially)
- Usage data — including pages visited, time spent on site, and device/browser type, collected via website analytics
- Communications — emails or messages you send us
3. What We Do NOT Collect
We want to be upfront about this: several of our tools are specifically designed so that we never see or store your personal information.
AI Coach (Free & Pro)
Our AI coaching tools at coach.secondactsg.com and pro.secondactsg.com are conversational — you chat with an AI coach powered by Anthropic’s Claude. Here’s what you should know:
- Your conversations are not stored on our servers. We do not have a database of your chats.
- Each conversation exists only in your browser session. When you close the tab, the conversation is gone.
- During your session, your messages are sent to Anthropic’s API (the AI provider) for real-time processing. Anthropic’s own privacy practices apply to that processing — you can review them at anthropic.com/privacy.
- The Pro Coach offers a “Download Conversation” feature so you can save your own chat locally. That file stays on your device — we never receive a copy.
- If you upload a previous conversation to continue a session, that file is processed in your browser and sent to the AI for context. It is not stored on our servers.
- We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g. number of sessions started, features used) to improve the tool. This data cannot be linked back to you or your conversation content.
Downloadable Calculators & Planners
Our Excel-based tools — including the Coast FI Calculator, Happiness Expenses Calculator, Dream Life Calculator, and Final Act Planner — are files you download to your own device. All calculations happen locally in your spreadsheet application. No data from these tools is ever transmitted to us.
4. How We Use Your Personal Data
We use your personal data to:
- Send you our newsletter and content updates (only if you have opted in)
- Respond to your enquiries and booking requests
- Deliver coaching services you have engaged us for
- Improve our website, content, and tools based on usage patterns
- Comply with legal obligations
5. Legal Basis for Processing
Under the PDPA, we collect and use your personal data based on:
- Your consent — for newsletter sign-ups and marketing communications
- Contractual necessity — to deliver coaching services you have requested
- Legitimate interests — to operate, maintain, and improve our website, tools, and services
6. Email Marketing and Newsletters
We use Mailchimp to manage our email list. By subscribing, you consent to receive our newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us at secondactsg@outlook.com.
We will never sell or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to analyse traffic and improve your experience. These may include:
- Essential cookies — required for the website to function
- Analytics cookies — to understand how visitors use our site (e.g. Google Analytics)
Our AI Coach tools may also use lightweight analytics (e.g. Vercel Analytics) to track anonymous usage patterns such as session counts and feature engagement. These analytics do not capture conversation content or personally identifiable information.
You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our site.
8. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate our platform, including:
- WordPress.com — website hosting
- Vercel — hosting for our AI Coach tools
- Anthropic (Claude API) — AI language model powering the AI Coach conversations
- Gumroad — payment processing for Pro Coach access
- Mailchimp — email marketing
- Calendly — appointment booking
- Zoom and Google Meet — video coaching sessions
- Google Analytics — website traffic analysis
These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We only share the minimum personal data necessary for these services to function.
When you purchase Pro Coach access through Gumroad, your payment information (e.g. credit card details) is handled entirely by Gumroad. We do not receive or store your payment details.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Coaching session records are retained for a minimum of 2 years after the conclusion of our engagement. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.
AI Coach conversations are not retained by us at all — they exist only in your browser session.
10. Your Rights Under the PDPA
Under the Singapore PDPA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate personal data
- Withdraw consent for the use of your personal data at any time
- Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations

11. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. Our AI Coach tools use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
